Littleton, CO — Tuesday, May 27th, 2014—
Alamo Drafthouse Littleton is proud to announce a special partnership with EFG-South Sloan’s Lake I, LLC, an
EnviroFinance® Group company, as they say “Thank You” to the neighborhood near the new
SLOANS redevelopment at the former home of St. Anthony’s Central Hospital at Sloan’s Lake. This partnership is culminating on Saturday, June 21st with the “Free Family Film @ SLOANS” a very special free outdoor screening of the classic 1993 family film THE SANDLOT complete with fun special events before the show and more! The event will take place in the lakeside field of Sloan’s Lake Park at 17th & Utica with gates opening at 5pm, events starting at 6pm and the film starting at dusk. Some of Denver’s finest food trucks will be on-site with beer on sale for adults 21 and up with beers sale benefitting the nearby Escuela Tlatelolco. Free parking is available in the garage located at Conejos & Stuart/Light Rail to Perry Station. To fit the film’s fun theme of a pick-up baseball game between kids in the 1950s we’ll be serving up some baseball games in the field and cooking up some more adventures tied to the film. We’re hoping the evening will be a great night out for the neighborhood and show Denver why the new SLOANS development has found the perfect home in a wonderful area. This event is also sponsored by the West Colfax Business Improvement District.

Finally, June also brings us a project designed to ensure destinations in West Colfax like the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema are walkable. A crowdsourcing approach to infrastructure planning led by
Place/Matters and
Walk Denver, two “walk audits” will tap residents to document and assess pedestrian conditions. Join us to walk as well as socialize over pizza or beer. This builds on the comprehensive wayfinding system going in early this summer…
All these should be great opportunities to mark and contribute to the progress of W Colfax while having a great time. Hope to see you there!
